Air-Matic Products Company Background Air-Matic Products Co., Inc. was established in 1950 to provide fuel control components to the aircraft industry. In the years to follow, AMP's specialty evolved into computer printer components, primarily consisting of precision machined fine blank and powered metal stampings. Since silicon iron (relay steel) is utilized for high-performance solenoids across numerous industries, AMP actively focused on the opportunity to master the craft of machining this material while attaining reliable, consistent results. Today, AMP is a tier two automotive supplier with a Total Quality Management program. AMP is comprised of approximately 60 employees at two production plants and a warehouse totaling 44,000 sq. ft. in Southfield and Redford, Michigan. AMP is a screw machine facility that specializes in secondary operations and high production precision machined components. AMP is proud to be a certified suppler to companies such as Lectron, Unisys Corp., DTR Industries and TRW Automotive with long term contracts. Furthermore, AMP's employees are proud to have achieved the ISO/TS 16949:2002 Quality System Requirements.
